Ternary platinum–cobalt–indium nanoalloy on ceria as a highly efficient catalyst for the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane using CO2

The oxidative dehydrogenation of propane using CO2 (CO2-ODP) is a promising technique for high-yield propylene production and utilization. Unfortunately the efficiency existing catalysts limited, therefore, developing highly efficient catalyst CO2-ODP great importance chemical industry. Here we report Pt–Co–In ternary nanoalloy on CeO2 that has (Pt1?xCox)2In3 pseudo-binary alloy structure exhibits very high catalytic activity, C3H6 selectivity, stability utilization at 550 °C. Alloying platinum with indium cobalt significantly improves selectivity reduction ability, respectively. species provide density states near Fermi level, which lowers energy barrier reduction. greatly enhanced by combining strong activation ability oxygen releasing support, facilitates Mars–van Krevelen-type coke combustion. CO2-mediated an attractive reaction production, although selection competent available this process scant. Now, authors ceria-supported achieves transformation efficiency.
